Nicolai Pfeffer

Nicolai Pfeffer received his training at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in the master class taught by Ralph Manno. The clarinettist, who was born in 1985, received important artistic stimulation as a visiting student in Howard Klug's class at Indiana University in Bloomington, as well as in international master classes and chamber music courses with Sabine Meyer, Karl Leister, Alan Lacker, Charles Neidich and many others.

Nicolai Pfeffer's career so far has been distinguished by many awards and grants. In addition to his extensive artistic activity, he has devoted himself to producing many new editions of chamber music and solo compositions for clarinet, along with his own transcriptions, which have been printed by such renowned publishers as G. Henle and Breitkopf and Härtel.

His musical activities have also included radio and television broadcasts as well as concerts in important German and European halls. Nicolai Pfeffer is much in demand as a pedagogue and teaches clarinet at the Cologne Hochschule für Musik und Tanz, the Bremen Hochschule für Künste as well as the Hannover Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien.
